After the St. Francis church was build in Imotski, the doline field was given to Poštenjak family. One part came to Jelavić's possesion by marriage. For quite some years the place was called "Jelavić Dolac." It has gotten its original name after Croatia got its independence.

Nakon što se je izgradila crkva Svetoga Frane, dolac je dan Poštenjak familiji. Jedan dio je pripao Jelavićima nakon ženidbe. Dugo vremena se je dolac zvao "Jelavić Dolac". Originalno ime je povraćeno nakon hrvatske nezavisnosti, 1992-te.
