Bazana used to the center of the town, where there was a place for governors in the turkish and venetiants rule times. There was a nice square and on it was a charity building called Bazana. It served many rulers, but eventually met its end after the WW II. The eastern part has housed a prison, while the western part was used to house very poor people. The prison was not that busy, mainly being occupied by drunkyards for a night or two.
The most famous inhabitant of Bazana was Kumpariš Pivac. He was sporting a hat and was carrying fruit on a donkey at holiday celebrations.
Mjesto poznate zgrade zvane Bazana
Bazana, stari Imotski predio, je nekada bila centar Imotskoga. To je bilo mjesto gdje su živjeli upravitelji imotskoga za vrijeme turaka i mlečana.
Na sredini Bazane je bila dobrotvorna zgrada zvana Bazana. Poslužila je mnogim gradonačelnicima, ali nije preživjela završetak drugoga svjetskoga rata.
Istočna strana je služila kao zatvor koji je bio uglavnom prazan. Katkada bi znao skućiti kojega pijanca za uznemiravanja reda ili javnosti.
Zapadni je dio služio sa siromašni puk.
Najpoznatiji stanar Bazane je bio Kumpariš Pivac. Nosio bio veliki šešir i prodavao voče na magarcu za vrijeme derneka.
