Mazzi houses

Dr. Mazzi from Vallegio in Italy after comming in Imotski has married a daughter of Andrija Laurić, a rich men from Humac on Island Brač. Andrija Laurić has built a large stone house, on the right 1847. There is an inscription on the house "A.D. 1847 Andrea Laurić".

Dr Mazzi has built even larger house on the left connecting them with a bridge. There is a passage below the bridge towards the other Laurić houses.

After the WW II, the houses were expropriated by the partizans and for many years Forrestry offices were in the building. Before that, the County governers occupied the buildings, with their flat on the upper floor.

West of Mazzi houses and on other side of the street are Brečić, Benzon, Šteko, and Bušić houses.
